LECTURING

Please get in contact if you are interested in commissioning a private lecture. Below are some reviews from recent talks with the Arts Society and the lecture titles that I currently offer

NAKED AMBITIONS: THE NUDE IN ART FROM CLASSICAL TIMES TO THE PRESENT DAY

"Matthew Wilson’s lecture on Naked Ambition: The Nude in Art from Classical Times to the Present Day comes with high recommendation. Our members thoroughly enjoyed the well-researched subject matter on the classical depictions of nudes and how this has influenced art throughout history. This vast subject was made very accessible so that members could relate to the subject within their own experiences and knowledge; with some members commenting on feeling inspired to visit galleries having assimilated additional information. Our members appreciated Matthew’s presentation style of a clear well organised structured lecture which was delivered with humour, this made the lecture thoroughly enjoyable. Our members rated the lecture as excellent with a substantial number rating the lecture as outstanding." - The Arts Society Nadder Valley:

THE ARTISTS WHO OUTWITTED THE NAZIS

"Matthew's energy, enthusiasm and knowledge shone through. It was a different take on a subject many will have known a little about but never really connected to the art world." - Arts Society Egerton
