I am a writer, art historian and educator. My latest book is Art Unpacked (Thames & Hudson 2023). I have also written two books on symbolism in visual culture: Symbols in Art (Thames & Hudson 2020) and The Hidden Language of Symbols (Thames & Hudson 2022). I have written for numerous publications including BBC Culture, The Economist, The Spectator, Aesthetica Magazine and Smarthistory) and I am an accredited lecturer for the Arts Society.
